Sanctions Notice - Iran (Human Rights)

Further to the most recent sanctions notice issued in relation to Iran (Human Rights) it has emerged that there may be an alternative spelling of one of the names specified in the notice. The name on the list issued by the UK’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and therefore in the sanctions notice is - 

• Habib SHAHSAVIRA  

The name on the list issued by the UK’s Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation is -

• Habib SHAHSAVARI 

MEASURES WHICH SHOULD BE TAKEN

All businesses must use both spellings when checking to see whether they maintain any accounts or otherwise have any kind of relationship with the person in question.
