Public Disclosure of Insurer Information
The Insurance Business Rules and Guidance, 2021 (the “Rules”) require certain relevant licensed insurers to publish their annual audited financial statements on their website for a period of three years from the relevant filing date (i.e. 6 months after the firm's financial year-end). Licensed insurers that do not have their own website, must provide the annual audited financial statements to the Commission for publication on the Commission's website.
The Rules permit, under certain specific circumstance, that a relevant licensed insurer may choose to withhold, redact or summarise the annual audited financial statements.
The Rules apply only to licensee financial year ends falling after 31 August 2018.
The licensed insurer must also file a copy of the annual audited financial statements with the Commission, which will either be published on the Commission's website, or information will be provided as to the location of the annual audited financial statements on the licensed insurers website.
