Sanctions Notice - Al-Qaida

​Please be advised of the following changes to sanctions listings related to the Al-Qaida network which have immediate effect in the Bailiwick.

Further to the Sanctions Notice issued on 24th September 2014 about United Nations listings for 14 individuals and 2 entities associated with extremist groups in Iraq and Syria, these individuals and entities have now been added to the list maintained by the European Union under Council Regulation (EC) No 881/2002 by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1058/2014.  These changes are automatically effective in the Bailiwick under the Al-Qaida (Restrictive Measures) (Guernsey) Ordinance, 2013, the Al-Qaida (Restrictive Measures) (Alderney) Ordinance, 2013 and the Al-Qaida (Restrictive Measures) (Sark) Ordinance, 2013. The effect of the amendments is the addition of the following to the lists of designated legal and natural persons subject to an asset freeze.

The 14 individuals who have been added to the list are as follows;
