Questions about Landsbanki Guernsey Limited (in administration)

​The Guernsey Financial Services Commission (“ the Commission") has received a significant number of enquiries relating to the position of Landsbanki Guernsey Limited (in administration) and a number of issues have been the subject of comment by the local media. On the 26 November 2008 the Guernsey Press published articles containing useful summary background information and which specifically addressed a number of misconceptions and misunderstandings that appear to have arisen.

In addition, the Commission anticipates that it will shortly be in a position to release (to the extent permissable having regard to confidentiality requirements) the conclusions of the independent inquiry into the issues affecting Northern Rock Guernsey Ltd and Landsbanki Guernsey Limited.
