Amendment to Council Regulation (EC) 881/2002 by Regulation (EU) No 583/2014 of 28 May 2014

​Please be advised that Council Regulation (EC) 881/2002 imposing financial sanctions against certain persons and entities associated with the Al-Qaida network and implemented in the Bailiwick by the Al-Qaida (Restrictive Measures) (Guernsey) Ordinance, 2013, Al-Qaida (Restrictive Measures) (Alderney ) Ordinance, 2013 and the Al-Qaida (Restrictive Measures) (Sark) Ordinance, 2013, has been amended  by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 583/2014 of 28 May 2014. The effect of the amendments is:

• The addition of the following to the list of designated persons subject to an asset freeze;

• AL-NUSRAH FRONT FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE LEVANT (Group ID 12981)

• JAMA’ATU AHLIS SUNNA LIDDA’AWATI WAL-JIHAD (Group ID: 12982) 

• The  removal of the following person from the list of designated persons subject to an asset freeze;

• UR REHMAN, Wali (Group ID 11273)

• The amendment of details relating to the following designated persons subject to an asset freeze; 

• DWIKARNA, Agus (Group ID 7842)
• AL-QAIDA IN IRAQ (Group ID 8441)

All financial services businesses in the Bailiwick must:

• Check whether they maintain any accounts or otherwise hold any funds or economic resources for these or any other designated person

• Inform the Policy Council if they know or suspect that someone  is a designated person,  and  give details of any funds or economic resources they hold for any such person

• Refrain from making any funds or economic resources available to these or any other designated persons
